The Rev. Joseph A. Komonchak lecture to mark 40th anniversary of Second Vatican Council

The first session of the Second Vatican Council was convened on October 12, 1962. Avery Cardinal Dulles, S.J., will also celebrate this anniversary with a lecture on October 12 at Loyola University.
Komonchak is a priest of the Archdiocese of New York and holds the John and Gertrude Hubbard Chair in Religious Studies at The Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C.
He joined the university in1977 where he teaches ecclesiology, modern theology, the thought of John Courtney Murray, and the history and theology of Vatican II. He has published widely, was chief editor of the New Dictionary of Theology, and is the editor of the English-language edition of the History of Vatican II.
