Loyola University junior and Gretna native selected for 2002 Class of the College Fund/Coca-Cola Corporation Intern Program

(New Orleans)ŚLoyola University New Orleans junior Brittany Butler was selected to participate in the eight-to-ten week paid summer internship at The Coca-Cola Company's headquarters in Atlanta, with the opportunity to earn an academic scholarship. She will work in Coca-Cola's chemistry department.

"The College Fund/Coca-Cola Corporate Intern Program will provide Brittany with an opportunity of a lifetime," said Crusoe-Ingram, vice president of Diversity, Strategy and Culture at Coca-Cola. "She will gain first-hand experience of what it takes to work and be successful in a Fortune 100 company."

In addition to gaining real work experience with a Fortune 100 corporation, Butler will earn a $2,500 monthly salary and will be provided housing and transportation to and from work. At the end of the internship, she will be eligible to receive a $10,000 scholarship and an invitation to return next summer. After a two-year internship program, students may be considered for full-time employment with the company.

This is the second year of the company's four-year/150 intern commitment to The College Fund and Corporate Intern Program. The United Negro College Fund is the nation's oldest African American higher education assistance organization. The Coca-Cola Company is the world's largest beverage company and is the leading producer and marketer of soft drinks.
