Loyola University New Orleans presents fifteenth annual Student Leadership Conference

(New Orleans)—Loyola University New Orleans will hold the fifteenth annual Student Leadership Conference on Saturday, February 23, 2002. The conference draws over 350 college student leaders from the southern region for the over 35 sessions offered on various leadership topics. Ted Quant, Director of Loyola University's Twomey Center for Peace Through Justice, is the keynote speaker for this year's conference, which begins at 9:15 a.m., in Roussel Hall on Loyola's main campus.
This year's Leaders for Life speakers include: Sally-Ann Roberts, Morning News Anchor/Reporter, WWL-TV, Channel 4, New Orleans; Preston Edwards, Sr., CEO of iMinorities, Inc. and publisher of The Black Collegian; Sandra S. Shilstone, Executive Vice President of New Orleans Marketing Corporation; Ron Forman, President and CEO of Audubon Nature Institute, Inc.; and, Honorable Steve Scalise, Louisiana State Representative.
Host institutions include Loyola, Tulane, Xavier, Our Lady of Holy Cross College, UNO, Southeastern Louisiana University, SUNO and Dillard. The corporate host is Coca-Cola. The event is also sponsored by the Loyola University Programming Board and the Center for Student Leadership Development. Registration for Loyola students is $10 and registration must be in by February 19.
