Moonchildren To Be Presented At Loyola
Loyola press release - February 25, 2002
(New Orleans)—A popular comedy about college life in the 1960s will be presented by Loyola Department of Drama and Speech. Moonchildren by Michael Weller will run in the Lower Depths Theater on March 1 - 9. Patrick McNamara will direct it.
The 60s were a volatile, intense period in this country's history. Young people were able to effect great social change, but their lives were often filled with turmoil and confusion. How a group of students react to that confusion is the comic premise of Moonchildren. One comic twist follows another. In the end, a surprise revelation lends a certain air of poignancy to the story. Moonchildren will be performed in the Lower Depths Theater, St. Charles at Calhoun, on March 1, 2, 7, 8, 9 at 8 p.m., and March 3 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 general admission, $7 for students and seniors. Group discounts are available. For more information, call 865-3824.
