(New Orleans)—Loyola University New Orleans College of Music presents the Loyola Chamber Orchestra under the direction of L. Dean Angeles. The concert is set for Sunday, March 25th at 3:00 p.m. in Louis J. Roussel Performance Hall located in the Music/Communications Complex at the corner of Calhoun Street and St. Charles Avenue.
The concert will feature student soloists Natalia Cascante, violin, playing the Sarasate Zigeunerweisen ("Gypsy Airs"); Philamer Nieve, piano, performing the Beethoven 3rd piano concerto, 1st movement; and Lindsey Smith-Trostle and Marc Paradis, cello, playing the Vivaldi Double Cello Concerto. The orchestra will also perform the Cosi fan Tutte Overture by Mozart and the Haydn Symphony No. 88.
