(New Orleans)—Loyola University New Orleans College of Music and the Musical Arts Society of New Orleans present pianist Stephen Hough. The concert is set for Wednesday, September 27 at 7:30 p.m. in Louis J. Roussel Performance Hall located in the Music/Communications Complex at the corner of Calhoun Street and St. Charles Avenue.
1999 Grammy Nominee Stephen Hough has emerged as a major presence on the international concert scene, appearing with many of the world's most prestigious orchestras and conductors and more than 40 CDs to his credit. His collaborations include Claudio Abbado, Andrew Davis, Christof Dohnanyi, Charles Dutoit, James Levine, Simon Rattle, and Michael Tilson Thomas. The concert will feature the Brahms Piano Sonata in F minor, Leiberman Impromptus, and Chopin's Piano Sketches.
The College of Music is pleased to expand its relationship with the Musical Arts Society of New Orleans by co-presenting current and past winners of the New Orleans International Piano Competition.
