Loyola University College of Music presents Donizetti's opera The Elixir of Love

(New Orleans)—Loyola University New Orleans College of Music presents Donizetti's opera The Elixir of Love. The performances are set for Thursday and Saturday, May 18 and 20 at 7:30 p.m. in Louis J. Roussel Performance Hall located in the Music/Communications Complex at the corner of Calhoun Street and St. Charles Avenue.
Stage director David Morelock and music director Carol Rausch will lead the student cast. "The Elixir of Love is a wonderful love triangle tale and contains beautiful melodies," Morelock said.
Cast members include: David Sadlier (Thurs.)/Bryan Hymel (Sat.) - Nemorino; Sarah McMahon (Thurs.)/Christine Hughes (Sat.) - Adina; Ken Weber - Dr. Dulcamara; Don Hoffman - Sergeant Belcore; Angela Mannino (Thurs.)/McCall Bodo (Sat.) - Giannetta.
In addition to the student cast and chorus, the performance will feature a professional orchestra, wigs, costumes, lighting, and set design.
