Loyola University Concert Band to perform on Saturday, November 11 at 3 p.m.

(New Orleans)—Loyola University New Orleans College of Music presents the Loyola University Concert Band under the direction of Dr. Joseph Hebert. The concert is set for Saturday, November 11, 2000 at 3 p.m. in Louis J. Roussel Performance Hall on the second floor of the Communications Music Complex located at the corner of Calhoun Street and St. Charles Avenue.

The concert will celebrate Aaron Copland's birthday by featuring his works Fanfare for a Common Man and El Salon Mexico. The program will also present Charles Ives' Variations on America, Scherman's American Festival Overture, and Sousa's Semper Fidelis, as well as works by Vincent Persichetti, Claude T. Smith, John Barnes Chance, and Joseph Jenkins.

Admission is free and open to the public. Additional information is available through Loyola's ticket box office at 865-3492.
