Pianist Petronel Malan to perform at Loyola University on Friday, November 10 at 7:30 p.m.

(New Orleans)—Loyola University New Orleans College of Music and the Musical Arts Society of New Orleans present pianist Petronel Malan. The concert is set for Friday, November 10, 2000 at 7:30 p.m. in Louis J. Roussel Performance Hall on the second floor of the Communications Music Complex located at the corner of Calhoun Street and St. Charles Avenue.
The concert will feature the Liszt Sonata in b minor and the Mozart Sonata in C Major, as well as works by Frank Martin, Arnold van Wyk, and F. Busoni.
General admission is $10 and student admission is $5. Tickets and additional information are available through Loyola's ticket box office at 865-3492.
After winning second place in the 1999 New Orleans International Piano Competition, Malan went on to first place finishes in the Louise D. McMahon International Music Competition and the Hilton Head Competition. Milan has toured with the Colombian Philharmonic and has performed in Rome, Paris, Salzburg, London, Los Angeles, and New York.
