Film Buffs announces installation of state-of-the-art seven speaker SurroundSound system in Screening Room, Bobet 332
Loyola press release - October 16, 2000
The Film Buffs Program is pleased to announce that, over the summer, a state-of-the-art seven speaker SurroundSound system was installed in Screening Room, Bobet 332, the largest of Film Buffs' three screening rooms in Bobet Hall. A second upgrade installed during the summer was an 800-lumens ceiling-mounted projector in Bobet 214's Screening Room. All three Film Buffs Screening Rooms -- Bobet 332, Bobet 214, and Bobet 101 -- now have movie theater projection capability. Movie theater quality sound speaker systems, like that installed in Bobet 332, will be added to Screening Rooms Bobet 101 and 214 over the course of the coming budget year.
Film Buffs thanks Dr. Danahar, Academic Provost, and Mr. William Cahill, Vice-President for Information Technology, for their commitment to upgrading and maintaining technologically up-to-date equipment used for student classwork in the Film Studies Minor courses and in many other classes on campus as well, which includes viewing films as course texts.
Fall 2000 Film Buffs Screening Schedules are available by the Graphic Design Space outside of the Film Buffs office, Bobet 334. To contact us, call x2152 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
