(New Orleans)— Alpha Psi Omega, Loyola's dramatic fraternity, presents "Superstars", a variety showcase featuring music, comedy, and drama by Loyola's brightest stars. Performances will be held in Lower Depths Theatre located on the first floor of the Communications/Music Complex. Production dates are Friday, January 21 at 8pm and Saturday, January 22 at 2pm. Admission is free. Refreshments will be available before each show.
"Superstars" is the Department of Drama and Speech's first production of 2000. It is an experimental showcase designed as an opportunity for students to perform works of their choosing. Alpha Psi Omega is sponsoring this production as a means to promote indiviual expression and student initiative. "Superstars" is an entirely student-run, student-produced presentation. The show includes songs from Broadway and the pop charts as well as dramatic monologues, comedy skits, and a new one-act play.
The Department of Drama and Speech, Alpha Psi Omega, and the cast and crew invite the university and community to attend their spring production of "Superstars".
