Loyola University college of Music presents Mozart's opera masterpiece Don Giovanni

(New Orleans)—Loyola University New Orleans College of Music presents Mozart's opera masterpiece Don Giovanni. The performances are set for Thursday and Saturday, May 20 and 22 at 8 p.m. in Louis J. Roussel Performance Hall located in the Music/Communications Complex at the corner of Calhoun Street and St. Charles Avenue.
Stage director David Morelock and music director Carol Rausch will lead the student cast with returning Loyola graduates, Patrick Jacobs and Brendan Cooke. "Giovanni contains Mozart's most lovable characters, as well as an outpouring of incomparable arias, duets, and ensembles," Morelock said.
Cast members include: Don Hoffman - Don Giovanni; Ken Weber - Leporello; Mary McMeans (Thurs.)/Monika Cosson (Sat.) - Donna Anna; Allison Meincke - Donna Elvira; Rachel Watkins - Zerlina; David Sadlier (Thurs.)/Bryan Hymel (Sat.) - Don Ottavio; PAtrick Jacobs - Masetto; Brendon Cooke - The Commendatore.
In addition to the student cast and chorus, the performance will feature a professional orchestra, wigs, costumes, lighting, and set design.
