1999 New Orleans Area Teacher Fair Held at Loyola University New Orleans

(New Orleans)—The 1999 city-wide Teacher Fair will be held at Loyola University New Orleans Danna Center on Friday, April 9, 1999 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This event is held in collaboration with Dillard University, Our Lady of Holy Cross College, Southern University at New Orleans, Tulane University, University of New Orleans, and Xavier University. Admission is free and the fair is open to the public.
Education related organizations and over 120 school districts from across the country will be on hand to meet perspective new hires in the New Orleans area. The fair has been sponsored in New Orleans for several years and has proven to be a gateway to a career in the education field. Those seeking employment are asked to bring a copy of their resumes, copies of their transcripts, NTE test scores, and any other relevant documentation to the fair. Some districts have been given permission to offer employment contracts at the fair. Non-education majors who are interested in teaching are encouraged to attend.
