Loyola University City College Hosts Scholarship Fund-raiser

(New Orleans)—Loyola University New Orleans City College is hosting a scholarship fund-raiser on Saturday, March 13, 1999 featuring the Loyola Jazz Band with guest artist, Marvin Stamm on trumpet.

The Scholarship fund-raiser begins at 6 p.m. with a reception in the new J. Edgar and Louise S. Monroe Library Visual Arts Center and Collins C. Diboll Gallery. The concert begins at 8 p.m. at the Roussel Performance Hall in the Communications/Music Complex. Both events are held on Loyola’s main campus, 6363 St. Charles Avenue.

Tickets are $25 and benefit two new scholarships at City College: the Betty Fosber and Israel Trestman Endowed Scholarship Funds. The scholarships will provide funds for both new and continuing City College students.

City College is the evening liberal arts college at Loyola University New Orleans, with the special mission of providing higher education opportunities for working adults on campus and through distance education.
