Professional Development Series for Literacy Providers - Models for Family Literacy

December 15, 1999, 1:30 - 4:30 p.m., and December 16, 1999, 8:30 a.m.- Noon, Professional Development Series for Literacy Providers - Models for Family Literacy sponsored by the Lindy Boggs National Center for Community Literacy.
The sessions will be led by Training Specialist Nancy Sledd from the National Center for Family Literacy in Louisville, Kentucky. This will be a two-part training on models for family literacy.
Part I will provide an overview of family literacy and present information about various models of family literacy that have been successful.
Part II will engage participants in the planning process either for establishing family literacy programs or for incorporating family literacy into existing educational programs.
Models for Family Literacy is co-sponsored by the Tulane-Xavier Campus Affiliates Program. Training will be held in the Monroe Library, Multimedia Room #1.
