(New Orleans)—Cats, dogs, birds, turtles and snakes are a few of the creatures you’ll find at the 8th annual Blessing of the Animals at Loyola University New Orleans. The blessing will take place Saturday, October 3, 1998 at 11 a.m. in Loyola's Horseshoe located on St. Charles Ave. The Blessing, which is sponsored by Campus Ministry Office, celebrates the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals.
