Loyola Alumni board names local CPA Allison Plaisance as president

Loyola press release - July 28, 2014

Certified public accountant and astute recruiter Allison Plaisance ‘00 was appointed the new president of the Loyola University New Orleans Alumni Association Board of Directors. Graduating with a Bachelor’s of Accounting and International Business from Loyola, Plaisance leads Ernst & Young’s campus recruiting efforts for the university.

“Without our dedicated volunteers the Alumni Association would be far more limited in what it can do for the university and alumni. Our volunteers are an investment in Loyola’s future. They are the best recruiters, advocates and role models, and for this we are truly grateful,” said Laurie Leiva ‘03, director of alumni relations.

The new board was recognized at the 2014 Annual Alumni Association Jazz Brunch June 22 as a part of Alumni Weekend. Plaisance will join executive committee members Amy Sins ‘98, past president; Ted Stacey ‘70, president elect; and Michelle Clarke ‘06, presidential appointee.

Plaisance is a senior manager in Ernst & Young’s Tax Quantitative Services practice specializing in research credits, deductions and tangible property matters. A certified public accountant licensed in Texas and Louisiana, she has more than 14 years of experience serving clients primarily in the chemical, oil and gas, and power industries.
