Louisiana Small Business Development Center offers financing seminar
Loyola press release - June 25, 2012
The Louisiana Small Business Development Center Greater New Orleans Region, housed in the Loyola University New Orleans College of Business, will co-host the seminar, “Angel & Early Seed Financing: Seed Investing for Entrepreneurs,” on Thursday, June 28 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the UNO Jefferson Center, located at 3330 N. Causeway Blvd., Suite 447, in Metairie, La.
The seminar, co-hosted by the Manufacturing Extension Partnership of Louisiana, is a one-day training and networking event that provides young companies with an inside look at how seed investors think and make decisions, as well as how to work successfully with venture investors and corporate partners.
According to the center’s director, Carmen Sunda, the seminar is geared to entrepreneurs whose business ventures show the promise for rapid and accelerated revenue growth.
“This seminar provides the early stage entrepreneur with the tools and methods to learn how to think like an angel investor,” Sunda said. “When the time comes for entrepreneurs to approach or make a presentation to an investment forum, angel organization or investment pitch competition, they will be better equipped to speak the same language as their potential investors.”
The seminar costs $25 and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. For questions or to pre-register, call 504-831-3730 or visit the online registration page.
