Loyola University New Orleans alumnus John Deveney ’88 will be inducted into the Public Relations News Hall of Fame at a ceremony next month at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
PR Week magazine named his firm, Deveney Communication, one of the five Top Boutique PR Firms in the country in 2004. This year’s hall of fame also honors Richard Edelman, Edelman Public Relations; Roger Frizzell, American Airlines; Mary Henige, General Motors; Dave Senay, Fleishman-Hillard; and Melissa Waggener Zorkin, Waggener Edstrom Worldwide.
“We are so proud of John’s work over the years and are thrilled about his induction into the PR News Hall of Fame,” said Sonya Duhé, director of Loyola’s School of Mass Communication. “His energy and commitment to our area are reasons that he is nationally recognized as a leader in the public relations field. We are very glad to call him one of our own.”
