The 'Beer Man' to sign Saints book at Loyola on Friday

The Loyola University New Orleans Bookstore welcomes former New Orleans Saint Michael “Beer Man” Lewis for a book signing on Friday, Dec. 10, from 12-2 p.m. Lewis, who will be accompanied by the Lombardi Trophy, will sign copies of the new pictorial, “WORLD CHAMPS: The Official Behind-The-Scenes Perspective of the Super Bowl XLIV Champion New Orleans Saints.”
Lewis’ appearance coincides with the bookstore’s annual faculty and staff appreciation event. The theme this year is “I’m dreaming of a Who Dat Christmas.” Select merchandise, including the Saints book, will be available to faculty and staff at a 20 percent discount. Refreshments will be served and an hourly drawing for gift cards and gift baskets will be held.
Loyola's own John Mahoney, professor and coordinator of jazz studies in the College of Music, will be available to sign his Christmas CD, “Christmas Joy,” from 12-12:30 p.m.
Jostens, Loyola’s academic regalia vendor, will be also be on hand to accept orders for commencement gowns. Special promotional pricing will be offered.
