Loyola University named to The Princeton Review's 'Best 301 Business Schools'

The Loyola University New Orleans College of Business is an outstanding business school, according to The Princeton Review. The New York-based education services company features the school in its 2010 edition of “Best 301 Business Schools,” which hit bookshelves Monday, Oct. 5.
Robert Franek, vice president of publishing for The Princeton Review, said schools were selected for this honor “based on our opinion of their academic programs and offerings, as well as our review of institutional data we collect from the schools.”
The Review surveyed 19,000 students during the 2008-09, 2007-08 and 2006-07 academic years for possible inclusion in this book. The Review does not rate schools hierarchically overall, but does provide rankings in specific categories. Franek says The Review prefers to encourage readers to find the school with the right “fit.”
College of Business Dean William B. Locander, Ph.D., said the designation reinforces the college’s dedication to developing future business leaders.
“Loyola provides an excellent setting for the type of individualized education that it takes for our students to reach their potential,” Locander said. “In the College of Business, we create a learning place that awakens, enlightens and transforms individual students.”
In August, Loyola was named to the Review’s “2010 Best 371 Colleges,” ranking fifth place nationally for “Best College Library,” sixth for “Easiest Campus to Get Around” and 11th place for “Best Town-Gown Relations.”
