Loyola brings beauty of music to babies in new Musikgarten August session

July 11, 2014

Loyola University New Orleans’ Musikgarten program is a fun and educational way to introduce young children from infants to age 5 to the beauty of music. Offered through the Loyola Preparatory Arts Program, the Musikgarten classes are set for Saturday mornings in August from 9 to 9:45 a.m. (Aug. 2, 9, 16 and 23).

Taught by Loyola alumna Helen Honoree Myers ‘88, N.C.T.M., classes help develop language, self-expression, self-awareness and motor skills through music. Musikgarten classes are held on Loyola’s main campus in the Communications/Music Complex in room 204G and are designed for children accompanied by a parent or grandparent.

Tuition is $90 for the entire August session and includes all class materials. Space is limited. Registration is available online. For more information, contact the Preparatory Arts Program at 504-865-3627.
