Loyola offers new MBA programs for professionals and those on the fast track

May 2, 2014

This fall, Loyola University New Orleans will introduce a new full-time Fast-Track MBA that can be completed in one year—the only program of its kind in the area. The university will also unveil a revamped Professional MBA program that can be completed in as little as two years.

Both programs are comprised of two modules per semester, separated by “immersion weeks,” which offer more intensive seminars on topics vital to an MBA program such as orientation and launch, venture and start-up entrepreneurship, career development, and ethics and social justice.

Loyola’s new full-time Fast-Track MBA program and its revamped part-time Professional MBA will create distinctive opportunities for students to work with local companies; develop skills in entrepreneurship, leadership, and ethics; and develop job opportunities through interactions with local executives.

The updated Professional MBA program—a flexible program for the working professional with a minimum of two years to complete—now includes concentration areas, or specialization tracks, to better serve its students. With these new specialization tracks, Loyola is now able to offer a traditional MBA degree with separate focus areas in finance, entrepreneurship and marketing innovation, management and leadership consulting, and organizational performance excellence.

An open house and informational session will be held Tuesday, May 6 at 6 p.m. in Miller Hall, room 112 on Loyola’s main campus. It will feature light refreshments followed by an information and Q-and-A session with Loyola’s associate dean for graduate programs, assistant director, MBA faculty, local executives and current MBA students. Registration for the open house is recommended, but not required. Loyola’s MBA application fee is waived for open house attendees.

Loyola is currently accepting applications for both MBA programs. Classes begin Aug. 25. For more information or to apply, go to Loyola's MBA website.
