Loyola community invited to 'Havoc's Fan Fest'
October 4, 2013
The New Orleans Pelicans French Quarter Flyers, the NBA team’s high flying dunk squad, will headline the fourth annual "Havoc’s Fan Fest" Friday, Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the University Sports Complex (The Den) at Loyola University New Orleans. The event is free and open to the public.
Named after Loyola’s lovable mascot, Havoc, the fan fest will serve as the ceremonial start to Wolf Pack basketball season. The event will consist of several interactive contests where fans can win various prizes.
The Wolf Pack men’s and women’s basketball teams will each participate in a 10-minute scrimmage as well as a three-point shooting contest. Members of the men’s team will take part in a dunk contest.
Entertainment will be provided by the Loyola cheerleaders and dance team. Students with a valid ID will receive free pizza from Fresco Café & Pizzeria, while supplies last. The French Quarter Flyers will close the event with their high-flying performance.
