Loyola howls into athletics season with new look for Wolf Pack
August 16, 2013
Loyola University New Orleans will kick off its 2013 athletics season sporting a fresh look for the Wolf Pack at a Maroon and Gold Day set for Aug. 29 at 12:30 p.m. in the Peace Quad on Loyola’s main campus. Featuring entertainment, food, giveaways and more, the event marks the latest in the evolution of Loyola’s wolf mascot.
The event—open to the university community—includes free refreshments and showcases the Loyola Golden Eyes Dance Team and the Cheer Team. The spirit-filled event also offers a chance to see the new Wolf Pack logo as Dr. Michael Giorlando, head men’s basketball coach and director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Wellness at Loyola, will be on hand to showcase the new logo in Pack Pride style. Loyola's own on-campus Internet radio station, Crescent City Radio, will broadcast the event live.
Follow the evolution of the Wolf Pack logo from its roots in 1924 to the present day on Loyola’s Facebook page and Instagram page. Followers will have the chance to win limited editions of the evolution of the wolf T-shirts through contests featured on the social media sites.
