Alumna joins university as key fundraising communications staffer
August 9, 2013
Tanisha Wise Wilson ’00 joins the Institutional Advancement staff at Loyola University New Orleans to serve as its campaign communications coordinator. Wilson graduated from Loyola’s School of Mass Communication and also has a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Phoenix. Her first day at Loyola was July 29.
“I am excited that I have the opportunity to contribute my skills here at my alma mater,” Wilson said. “One unexpected joy I’ve experienced since being back on campus is having fond memories of why I chose to attend Loyola in the first place. There is something special taking place here, and I am blessed to be a part of it.”
Wilson will serve as a key liaison among the groups in Development and Annual Giving, Marketing and Communications, Public Affairs, Alumni Relations and Advancement Records. She will help use all forms of communication to inspire fundraising success among Loyola's alumni and friends.
Wilson has held marketing and community relations positions at the Ingram Book Company, the Nashville Area Chapter and Mid-South Chapter of the American Red Cross, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Remington College in Memphis and the Housing Authority of New Orleans. She’s also worked as a civilian employee of the U.S. Air Force in Okinawa, Japan.
