In the White House where Loyola University New Orleans senior Alden Woodhull is interning this summer, daily responsibilities have her interacting with people many only see on TV. Woodhull has enjoyed up close and personal views of several speeches given by Vice President Joe Biden, and she's also attended a daily press briefing with White House Press Secretary Jay Carney.
This weekend, a delegation of Loyola University New Orleans faculty and staff will attend a national conference on justice in Jesuit education hosted by Creighton University in Omaha, Neb.
Loyola University New Orleans alumnus and journalist Ramon Vargas '09 is joining The Advocate newspaper as a sportswriter covering the Saints. Vargas, a former sports editor and editor-in-chief of Loyola's student newspaper, The Maroon, was previously a staff writer for NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune.
The Lindy Boggs National Center for Community Literacy at Loyola University New Orleans pays tribute to the late Lindy Boggs, who died July 27 at her home in Chevy Chase, Md.
Loyola University New Orleans art and design professor Karoline Schleh will be the featured artist at a one-night-only exhibit running concurrently with the annual White Linen Night, tomorrow, Aug. 3, in the Warehouse Arts District.
The Preparatory Arts Program at Loyola University New Orleans, hosting children of all ages, is currently enrolling ballet, piano, violin, guitar and voice students for the 2013-14 academic year. Classes begin Sept. 3.
