Alumnus to hold book signing for his account of Loyola's 1945 national basketball championship

Loyola University New Orleans alumnus and journalist Ramon Vargas '09 will host a book signing this Sunday, July 14 for his new book about Loyola's 1945 national basketball championship. "Fight, Grin and Squarely Play the Game: The 1945 Loyola New Orleans Basketball Championship and Legacy" chronicles the heartfelt personal narratives of the 1944-45 Loyola Wolf Pack as they became the city's first basketball team to earn a national championship. The signing will be from 2 4 p.m. at the Garden District Book Shop, 2727 Prytania St.
