Centennial Challenge wrapping up: 9 days left and 600+ new donors needed
May 3, 2013
An anonymous donor has issued a fundraising challenge to Loyola University New Orleans, promising to give $100,000 to the university if 2,500 new donors join him in giving back to Loyola by May 12. Donations of any size and to any program are counted, but gifts must be received by the May 12 deadline in order to be included in the challenge. To date, Loyola has received 1,816 donations and needs 684 more to meet the challenge.
“The centennial year has brought out the best in the Loyola community. This tremendous gesture on behalf of a loyal university supporter will serve to unify Loyola’s remarkable alumni and enable Loyola to continue to provide its students with an outstanding Jesuit education,” said Loyola President Kevin Wm. Wildes, S.J., Ph.D.
“We only have one week to meet this generous donor’s challenge. We are calling on all alumni and friends of the university to make a contribution today and to reach out and encourage fellow members of the Loyola community to do so as well. Please consider becoming one of the 2,500 donors who help us meet this challenge.”
