Schaberg signs new edition of airport studies book

April 19, 2013

Loyola University New Orleans English professor Christopher Schaberg, Ph.D., is hosting a reading and book signing tomorrow April 20 at the Maple Street Books Bayou St. John location for his book, “The Textual Life of Airports,” which was released in paperback just last month. The signing is set for 6 p.m. at the bookstore located at 3141 Ponce de Leon in New Orleans.

The book received a glowing review in the journal, “ISLE: Interdisciplinary Studies in Literature & Environment.”

Building on his scholarly study of airports and airline travel, Schaberg also recently published an essay about the Boeing Dreamliner in “The New Inquiry.” The piece offers a glimpse of a new book Schaberg is working on called “The End of Airports.”
