Andre Perry speaks at NBC's 2013 Education Nation Summit today

Today, Loyola University New Orleans staffer Andre Perry, Ph.D., is a featured guest on a panel during the 2013 Education Nation New Orleans Summit, hosted by NBC News and moderated by “Today” co-anchor Hoda Kotb. Perry, Loyola associate director for educational initiatives and former charter school CEO, will speak on the “K-12: Lessons from the New Orleans Experience” panel at 2:30 p.m. during the event held at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts.

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is also participating in the summit. He’ll give a closing interview today at 4:45 p.m.

Education Nation is NBC News’ year-round whistle stop tour aimed at engaging the country in a conversation about solutions to U.S. education challenges. NBC affiliate station WDSU is hosting a week of events and programming on the topic.
