Turning a blog into a book: alumna speaks with School of Mass Communication students

Loyola University New Orleans School of Mass Communication alumna Kelly Williams Brown ‘06 visited campus last week to share her experiences writing her nonfiction humor book, “Adulting: How to Become A Grownup in 468 Easy(ish) Steps.”

Williams Brown, now living in Portland, worked as a reporter and columnist for various newspapers for six years. She specifically shared with students about transitioning a blog into a book. Her book started out as a blog, which now has 80,000 followers on Tumblr.

The book is due out in May through Grand Central Publishing.
