Loyola is victorious in the Tip Off Challenge against Spring Hill

February 22, 2013

Loyola University New Orleans won the Tip Off Challenge—the off-the-court game of pride and support—over Jesuit rival Spring Hill College in Mobile, Ala. The final score was 83-68 in overtime.

Since Jan. 19, Loyola supporters helped the university score points by giving to the area of their choice strictly through its online giving page. After the game was extended into overtime last week, the efforts of a last-minute push helped Loyola secure the points needed to win.

As a result of Loyola’s win, Spring Hill will post photos of head coach Robert Thompson with Loyola mascot Havoc T. Wolf.
