The Tip Off Challenge is coming to an exciting end
February 8, 2013
Three, two, one … The Tip Off Challenge, the off-the-court battle of pride and support between Loyola University New Orleans and Spring Hill College in Mobile, Ala., is almost at the final buzzer. With only one more day until Loyola plays Spring Hill—signaling the end to the fundraising challenge—the score is close with Loyola leading 45-34.
Loyola scores each time a supporter makes a donation, and scoring is as easy as a free throw at the newly redesigned giving.loyno.edu website. Donations made to Loyola athletics, the Loyola Fund or a college or department by 11:59 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9 count towards the score. The goal is 100 points by Saturday.
To make things interesting, a friendly bet was made between the schools. A picture of the winning school’s mascot with the losing school’s coaches will be posted on each organization’s social media sites.
Track the competition to the very last second on Loyola’s social media sites, including Facebook and Twitter. Participate with Instagram by sharing photos of the Loyola community or athletic events using the #TipOffChallenge hashtag.
