Loyola vs. Spring Hill Tip Off Challenge goes into final period
February 1, 2013
The Tip Off Challenge, the off-the-court battle of pride and support between Loyola University New Orleans and Spring Hill College in Mobile, Ala., has been raging since Jan. 19. With only one week left until Loyola plays Spring Hill in Mobile marking the end of the fundraising challenge, the score is tight between the two schools. Loyola is leading 13-10.
A new website highlighting the “scoring” is now easier to navigate with a smart phone at www.giving.loyno.edu. Supporters can give online to any area of their choice, whether it’s Loyola athletics, a specific department or college or the Loyola Fund to support Loyola’s “score.”
Track the competition’s fun and interactive messages posted on Loyola’s social media sites, including Facebook and Twitter. Supporters can participate with Instagram by sharing photos of the Loyola community or athletic events using the #TipOffChallenge hashtag.
If Loyola wins, the university gets bragging rights and a picture of Spring Hill's coaches with Havoc to post on the website.
