Music alumni present free recital at local church

Alumni from the College of Music and Fine Arts at Loyola University New Orleans will present a public recital Sunday, Jan. 13 at 5 p.m. The event will take place at Trinity Episcopal Church, located at 1329 Jackson Ave. in New Orleans.
The program, featuring mezzo-soprano Suzanne DuPlantis ’84, soprano Anne Marie Frohnmayer M.M. ’07 and pianist Logan Skelton ’83, will offer an eclectic selection of works by Franz Schubert, Gustav Mahler, Skelton, Kurt Weill and Édith Piaf. The recital is part of the Trinity Artist Series at Trinity Church, where Loyola voice faculty Ellen and Philip Frohnmayer attend.
Admission to the event is free, but donations to the Frohnmayer Legacy Fund are encouraged. The fund, which supports scholarships for voice students at Loyola, was established in conjunction with the 2011 Frohnmayer Reunion Weekend at Loyola.
