Loyola at a Glance
Internet radio producing new variety hour at Loyola
December 7, 2012
Loyola’s Studio D will transform today at 3:30 p.m. into the set of a new comedy, improv and music radio show featuring pianist Jon Cleary and comedians Chris Trew and Tami Nelson—and faculty, students and staff have the chance to be a part its inaugural live audience. “The NO Show” aims to be a New Orleans-style “Prairie Home Companion,” developed with WWNO, the crew of the popular website www.itsnewOrleans.com along with local radio producer and host Grant Morris. Studio D is located in the Communications/Music Complex, Room 421.
Morris currently hosts the weekly program “Happy Hour,” which originates from the ballroom of the Columns Hotel on Thursdays. He also produces “Out to Lunch,” which is broadcast from Commander’s Palace every Tuesday on WWNO.
