Songstress Stephanie Jordan performs at Loyola
November 2, 2012
Vocalist Stephanie Jordan, whom critics have compared to Norah Jones and Diana Krall, will perform at Loyola University New Orleans Thursday, Nov. 15 at 7:30 p.m. The Jazz Underground concert will take place in Satchmo’s, located in the basement of the Danna Student Center on the university’s main campus.
Heralded as a singer with poise and pizzazz, Jordan’s prominence rose after her performance at the nationally televised Jazz at Lincoln Center benefit concert for victims of Hurricane Katrina. She has performed throughout the world, including an extended engagement at The Palace Hotel in Istanbul, Turkey, the Langston Hughes Auditorium in New York City, the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and the Marciac Jazz Festival in France. Jordan is also a regularly featured performer at Harrahʼs New Orleans.
Tickets are $10 for general admission, $5 for Loyola faculty and staff, and free for Loyola students. Tickets are available online at www.montage.loyno.edu or by calling 504-865-2074, and will also be available at the door 30 minutes prior to the performance.
Free parking for the event is available in the West Road Garage, located on West Road and accessible from St. Charles Avenue.
