Loyola at a Glance
Departments RSVP by Oct. 8 for Denim and Teal Fundraiser
October 5, 2012
As a part of the Oct. 23 Take Back the Night effort dedicated to raising awareness about sexual violence, faculty and staff can wear denim and teal to support three local service groups. With a $5 donation, volunteers will receive a teal ribbon to wear with jeans on Oct. 23 as a visual sign against sexual violence. To participate in the Denim and Teal fundraiser, designate a department liaison and RSVP by Oct. 8 to the University Counseling Center.
This year’s Denim and Teal day will benefit Crescent House, Metropolitan Center for Women and Children and the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner program. Last year, more than $2,800 was raised through raffle ticket sales and the Denim and Teal fundraiser. Contact Catie Lynch at firstname.lastname@example.org or 504-865-3835 to RSVP.
