Business professor pens book supporting Ron Paul for president

June 1, 2012

Walter Block, Ph.D., the Harold E. Wirth Eminent Scholar Endowed Chair in Economics at Loyola University New Orleans, recently published his 11th book, “Ron Paul for President in 2012: Yes to Ron Paul and Liberty,” which supports Paul’s ongoing race for the White House.

“It’s my love letter to Ron Paul, and it’s an attempt by me to promote his candidacy for president,” Block said. “It’s also a critique of his critics and gives specific examples as to why he would be the best president.”

Block admits that while Paul, who supports a number of Libertarian policy positions, has very little chance to win the Republican nomination for president, the Texas congressman continues to have a strong grass-roots following and is the only GOP candidate still in the race for the nomination against former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney.

“When the nominating process began, there were 12 or 13 candidates. Now, there’s only two left and one of them is Ron Paul,” Block said. “If it weren’t for the media or intellectuals who ignore him or make fun of him, he would have already beaten Romney. Romney is like a weather vane – you don’t know what policy he’s going to pursue. Paul has been very consistent. He’s always supported policies that support peace, prosperity and liberty.”

The book can be purchased on Amazon.com and is available in both print and electronic form.
