Riders wanted for Krewe of Tucks

As part of the Loyola University New Orleans ongoing centennial celebration, the Krewe of Tucks is looking for Loyola alumni, faculty, staff or students to fill 20 spots in Loyola’s centennial float in the 2013 Krewe of Tucks Mardi Gras Parade on Feb. 9, 2013.
Founded in 1969 by a self-proclaimed rag-tag group of Loyola students, the Krewe of Tucks is an irreverent band of merry makers that has grown in size and is considered a carnival favorite.
The cost of the Tucks parade package is $1,500 and includes:
- Ticket to the Tucks coronation ball; spouse or additional tickets cost $100 each;
- Tucks throws (beads/cups) and Loyola centennial beads and costume;
- Tucks extravaganza post-parade party for float riders at Marriott Hotel;
- Marriott hotel package discount for Tucks parade weekend.
Spots on the float are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and riders must be 21 years or older. A deposit of $500 is due by Aug. 1, with balance due by Nov. 1. For more information or to sign up, contact the Office of Alumni Relations at 504-861-5454 email@example.com.
