May 25, 2012
Andrew Albert, a junior philosophy major at Loyola University New Orleans, was recently awarded a prestigious 2012 Fulbright Summer Institute Scholarship to study at Newcastle University in Newcastle, U.K. Albert was selected as one of only 50 students from across the United States to be invited to participate in the four-week program, in which he will examine Europe’s current and future role in a global economy.
“We are thrilled that a Loyola student has been awarded the prestigious Fulbright Summer Institute Scholarship,” said Mariette Thomas, study abroad adviser at Loyola’s Center for International Education. “Earning the Fulbright Scholarship is a very tough process.
