Loyola English professor interviewed for national public radio show

April 27, 2012

Chris Schaberg, English professor at Loyola University New Orleans, was recently interviewed about his book “The Textual Life of Airports” for the Wisconsin Public Radio/Public Radio International show "To the Best of Our Knowledge." Schaberg’s interview will be included in an hour-long show about airports that will air on May 6. The show is syndicated throughout the country and will also be available on the website.

Schaberg’s book, which tracks airport stories in American literature, films, airport art and magazine illustrations, has received a lot of media attention lately, including an appearance in a recent New York Times article and multiple mentions by USA Today and MSNBC travel journalist, Harriet Baskas, in her online blog, Stuck at the Airport.

The hardcover edition of “The Textual Life of Airports” is currently available for purchase online at Amazon.com. The paperback edition will be released in early 2013.

For more information, contact Schaberg at 504-865-3597 or schaberg@loyno.edu .
