Mass communication professor takes 'Courtroom Carnival' to Jazz Fest
April 27, 2012
S.L. Alexander, Ph.D., associate professor of mass communication, will have a book signing at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on May 4 from 3-4 p.m. in the book tent. “Courtroom Carnival: Famous New Orleans Trials” chronicles several colorful courtroom clashes involving Louisiana’s political and civic elite whose trials and tribulations captured widespread public attention.
“‘Courtroom Carnival’ is being very well-received, but as a journalist, I'm finding it so interesting to be the subject of interviews rather than the interviewer,” Alexander said.
Alexander also participated in the Tennessee Williams Literary Festival in downtown New Orleans last month as a part of the panel on “Reading and Writing about the Law," where she was joined by Loyola alumnus and former CNN news anchor Charles Zewe MA ’06, who was also a contributing author for “Courtroom Carnival.”
For more information about “Courtroom Carnival” or to schedule an interview, visit www.courtroomcarnival.com or call Alexander at 504-865-3292.
