Environmental science major awarded research grant

Tom Sevick, an environmental science major at Loyola University New Orleans, was recently awarded $2,500 from the Louisiana Sea Grant Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program to conduct research this summer. He will collaborate with Frank Jordan, Ph.D., professor of biological sciences at Loyola University, on a study of the effects of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill on marsh fishes in the Mississippi River delta.
