Loyola wins national educational advertising awards

The Loyola University New Orleans Office of Marketing and Communications was recently recognized in four different categories at the 27th Annual Educational Advertising Awards, sponsored by the Higher Education Marketing Report. The Educational Advertising Awards is the largest educational advertising awards competition in the country, receiving more than 2,900 entries from more than 1,000 colleges, universities and secondary schools.
Loyola was honored in the following categories:
- GOLD - Magazine Advertising/Series – U.S. News Ad Series
- SILVER - Imprinted Materials - Class of 2015 Beads
- BRONZE - Newsletter - Neighborhood News
- MERIT - Newspaper Advertising/Single - Centennial Promotion
“Having our staff recognized for their hard work by our higher education peers is very exciting and gratifying,” said Jennifer Scholtbom ’00, director of Publications & Marketing. “We are committed to be among the forefront of peers in our marketing and communications efforts for the university, and it is always nice to be recognized as such.”
Marketing and Communications also brought home gold from the ADDY Awards in the Mobile Website category. Web programmer Andy Forester, web content strategist Crystal Forte ’03, M.B.A. ’10 and web designer Sean Clark were credited on the project.
The annual ADDY Awards recognize excellence in advertising by the New Orleans Advertising Club. The awards ceremony was held late last month at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
