MTV looking for students to cast for 'MADE'
February 10, 2012
On Tuesday, Feb. 14, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., the producers of MTV’s three-time Emmy award-winning series, “MADE,” will be on the Loyola University New Orleans campus searching for college students who want an opportunity to change the rest of their lives.
An open casting call for the reality television program will be held in the Office of Co-Curricular Programs, located in the lower level of the Danna Student Center, Room 30E. Students interested in participating are asked to stop by the office before Feb. 14 to fill out a sign-up sheet and casting questionnaire. Each individual interview will last approximately 10 minutes.
“MADE” follows and documents the lives of young adults who have a goal and want to be “made” into something beyond their wildest dreams. Whether someone sees the potential to lose 50 pounds, break into show business, find true love or start their own business, “MADE” creates opportunities for students to find the inspiration to follow their true passion. Participants are joined by a “MADE Coach,” an expert in their chosen field, who tries to help them attain their goals over the course of several weeks.
After the casting process, producers will review the interviews, which are not for broadcast, in their New York offices. If producers are interested, students and Loyola University will be notified.
If MTV decides to pursue taping a full episode, their crew would consist of one or two people, always a producer with a handheld camera and sometimes a production assistant. Their goal is to have as small of a footprint as possible on campus.
