Montage Series features four free concerts

Loyola University New Orleans’ Montage Fine and Performing Arts Series presents four free concerts in Roussel Performance Hall this weekend. All events are open to the public.

On Saturday, Nov. 12 at 3 p.m., the Loyola Wind Ensemble will perform selections by Col. John Bourgeois '90, H'05, Percy Grainger, Sergei Prokofiev and Alexander Glazunnouv. They will be joined by more than 40 local high school student musicians in three selections by director of bands Joseph Hebert '63, Ph.D., and guest conductor Bourgeois. At 7:30 p.m., the Loyola Chamber Orchestra, directed by Jean Montès, D.M.A., will perform.

On Sunday, Nov. 13 at 3 p.m., the Loyola Concert Band, directed by David Rosenthal and featuring guest conductor Bourgeois, will perform a concert featuring selections by Bourgeois, Antonin Dvorák, John Halvorsen, Arthur Sullivan and Malcolm Arnold. At 7:30 p.m., the Loyola Faculty Brass Quintet will perform.

During these events, free parking is available in the West Road Garage located on West Road and accessible from St. Charles Avenue.
