WGSO to broadcast 10 Loyola basketball games

Loyola University New Orleans and WGSO have renewed their partnership to broadcast 10 men’s basketball games for the 2011-12 season.
WGSO will do a live broadcast starting Dec. 2 for the game against Southern States Athletic Conference opponent Shorter University. They will cover the following games for the remainder of the season: Dec. 3 vs. Emmanuel at 5 p.m., Dec. 17 vs. Xavier at 4 p.m., Jan. 12 vs. Spring Hill at 7:30 p.m., Jan. 14 vs. UNO at 2 p.m., Jan. 26 vs. William Carey at 7:30 p.m., Jan. 28 vs. Auburn Montgomery at 4 p.m., Feb. 11 vs. Faulkner at 4 p.m., Feb. 16 vs. Belhaven at 7:30 p.m., and Feb. 25 vs. Mobile at 4 p.m. (all games central standard time).
“We are again pleased to have our games broadcast live by Loyola alumnus Ken Trahan on WGSO 990 AM,” said athletic director and head men’s basketball coach Dr. Michael Giorlando. “I want to remind our friends and families of our players that the games will be streamed on their web site.”
