Faculty-Staff Campaign seeks 100 percent participation

October 14, 2011

The Loyola University New Orleans 2011-12 Faculty-Staff Campaign has officially kicked off and whether you have been giving for 29 years like Robert Reed, assistant vice president for Student Affairs, or if this is your very first gift, gifts of all sizes make a difference.

“I am delighted each year to contribute to Loyola as one small step to show my gratitude for all the gifts I have received from being part of this excellent Jesuit Catholic university,” said Reed.

Giving to the Faculty-Staff Campaign is easy and convenient. Payroll deduction is available, allowing payments to be spread throughout the year. Gifts may also be made online with a credit card or by mailing payment to the Office of Annual Giving, Campus Box 909, along with the campaign brochure form, set to arrive soon in campus mailboxes.

Gifts can be given to a specific college or school of your choice on the form and provides faculty and students with the technology, financial aid, facilities, and opportunities necessary to achieve academic excellence at Loyola.

Overall participation in last year’s campaign was 55 percent, and the campaign received $69,728 in donations. The Office of Student Affairs staff achieved 100 percent participation before any other department, and earned the right to possess the “College Cup” throughout calendar year 2011. The College Cup is a highly sought-after trophy for the department or division which achieves 100 percent participation first during the month-long campaign. It is a recognition of the generosity of spirit, of supporting our Jesuit values and education, and leaves a lasting recognition of the winners each year as an inscribed plate is added to the base of the trophy documenting each year’s winners.
